Mike Medici

Mike Medici is currently in his eighth year as an amateur area scout for the Texas Rangers covering the mid-west. Prior to the Rangers Medici spent four years with the Toronto Blue Jays. In his scouting career Medici has signed fifteen players to minor league contracts. Two of which have debuted in the MLB, Ryan Borucki of the Toronto Blue Jays and Kyle Cody of the Texas Rangers.

Prior to entering the professional ranks Medici spent two years as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Division 1 Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. In that time the team offense ranked nationally in multiple statistical categories. In those two years, Medici coached 6 All-Conference Players, 1 Player of the Year, and 7 MLB Draft Selections.

As a player Medici spent four years at Division 1 Niagara University where he was a multi-year All-MAAC Conference selection and was a Johnny Bench award nominee in 2006.

In addition to scouting Medici has created an online course for future scouts called Scout School 360 and writes a weekly publication called Full Circle Baseball.

Jordan Peterson “JP”

Jordan Peterson “JP” is the Owner and Head Trainer at Major Sports Performance. Peterson grew up in Avon, Indiana where he attended Avon High School. Through high school Peterson was a multi-sport athlete playing Football, Basketball, Baseball and Track.

Following high school Peterson attended Indiana University to play football where he studied Kinesiology. During that time Peterson fell in love with how the body can be improved in many ways which ultimately led him to creating Major Sports Performance.

Since Major Sports Performance inception in 2020 Peterson has trained over 500 athletes along with 40+ collegiate athletes and 10+ professional athletes. In addition Peterson created the 7v7 football program and track team. Peterson will be an intricate part of the off-season development process for the baseball and softball programs.

Konnor Ash

Ash is currently a pitcher in the Philadelphia Phillies organization. Prior to the Phillies Ash pitched in the SEC for the University of Missouri. The Plainfield, IL native now calls Avon home in the off-season and we are beyond excited to have him a part of our organization.

Jacson McGowan

McGowan played his high school baseball at Brownsburg before becoming a three-year starter at Purdue. In 2018 the Tampa Bay Rays selected McGowan in the 11th round of the MLB Draft. We are beyond excited to have Jacson a part of our organization.

Steve Mirizzi

This past fall Mirizzi was named the new Head Coach at Plainfield High School. Prior to Plainfield, Mirizzi spent 6 seasons as head coach of Indian Creek High School. While at Indian Creek, Mirizzi compiled a record of 63-38 and included 3A Sectional titles in 2018 and 2019. His 2018 squad won 26 games that included both Sectional and Regional Championships.
